Conductor

Dr. Charles Taylor is Chairman of the Department of Music at the University of New Orleans and serves as Director of Instrumental Ensembles and Coordinator of Music Education. Dr. Taylor holds the degrees Bachelor of Music and Master of Music in Music Education and Doctor of Musical Arts in Conducting from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. Dr. Taylor serves as the conductor of the New Orleans Concert Band and as music director of the New Orleans Civic Symphony Orchestra. He is active as a guest conductor and clinician and serves as the new music reviewer for the Louisiana Music Educators Association.
